WE’RE LOOKING FOR EXHIBITORS, PRESENTERS & PARTNERS … DOES THIS SOUND LIKE YOU?
Would you like to exhibit or present at the Tamar Sustainable Living Expo? Maybe you would like to sponsor this inaugural event? If so, drop us a line here or contact Gabrielle Stannus, Tamar Sustainable Living Coordinator, on 0400 431 277 for an application form.
The inaugural 2018 Tamar Sustainable Living Expo will provide a “one stop shop” to help northern Tasmanians reduce their household bills and ecological footprints and a platform for community groups to share their activities and develop new projects. Adopting sustainable living practices provides positive benefits to the environment, human health, household and business budgets and long term energy certainty and security.
The Expo will be held at the Albert Hall precinct, Launceston. Not-for-profit organisations, community groups and businesses can exhibit their programs, services and products in the Great Hall. Exhibitors and other interested parties will be invited to deliver sustainable living activities, workshops, talks and interactive displays. Outdoor areas will be dedicated to activities including sustainable transport. Tamar NRM will link up with Harvest Market
Launceston on Expo day to showcase the sustainable practices of local farmers.
Tamar NRM will work with community groups to develop Expo satellite projects/events in the lead up to the Expo. These satellite projects will empower people to come up with solutions to local sustainable living problems, e.g. working with the local Men’s Shed and schools on a design competition to reuse old pallets. These projects will help to promote the Expo whilst also facilitating the uptake of sustainable living practices across the Tamar Valley catchment.
