Tamar NRM in conjunction with Biosecurity Tasmania and West Tamar Landcare Group are jointly holding a Besom Heath (Erica scoparia) Field Day and Workshop in the Bridgenorth area. The Besom Heath infestation in this area is slowly but surely spreading into the West Tamar and Meander Valley Council areas. This emerging invasive woody weed threatens our agricultural lands and the natural environment.

If you live in the Bridgenorth area, you could be affected now or in the near future.

We invite you to attend and learn about identification and controlling the spread of this invasive weed which looks very similar to its near cousin Spanish Heath (Erica lusitanica).

The Besom Heath workshop will be held on Friday 24th June 2016, 11.00am – 2.00pm.
