What is a BioBlitz?
It is a festival of science in nature that will provide useful scientific data to land managers while also being fun, enjoyable and meaningful to the community. The Trevallyn BioBlitz was a collaboration between scientists, naturalists, students and the general community coming together to undertake a range of flora and fauna surveys.
The Trevallyn BioBlitz held 17 session over 2 days in early December, with 150 people attending! So much to see, building community’s knowledge of, and skills in, the natural sciences and increasing community understanding of the importance of biodiversity and improving the connection to the local environment.
Photos from the Trevallyn Reserve BioBlitz. Thanks to all the community members that attended and special thanks to our survey leaders Anna Povey, Jo Lyall, Roy Skabo, Greg Lundstrom, QVMAG staff David Maynard, Simon Fearn, John Douglas and Gill Basnett.
